From the hills of Matongo in Northern Burundi, near the Rwandan border, this microlot from the Yagikawa Cooperative captures everything we love about naturally processed African coffees — fruit-forward sweetness and layered complexity.
Produced by smallholders farming less than a hectare each, the attention to detail truly shines at the Rwiri washing station, where ripe cherries are carefully handpicked, dried on raised beds for three weeks, and milled with precision. The result in the cup speaks for itself.
